More about Amanda

Amanda originally trained in beauty therapy nearly four decades ago, going on to run her own successful salon for over 30 years. Alongside that, she also qualified in advanced aesthetics 13 years ago and has trained others as an NVQ Beauty Therapy Teacher and Assessor. Her love for the industry, and for working closely with people, shines through in everything she does.

Now in her reception role, Amanda manages client bookings, supports practitioners, and keeps the clinic running smoothly behind the scenes, from preparing rooms to maintaining stock and anticipating the needs of both clients and team members. She’s known for her calm presence, her incredible memory for client preferences, and her ability to stay cool under pressure (usually before the tears start!).

Colleagues describe Amanda as helpful, organised, and someone who always goes above and beyond, whether that’s remembering a regular’s favourite product or making sure every treatment room is perfectly prepared.

Outside of work, Amanda is just as hands-on, renovating houses and furniture for fun, and proudly holding the title of “Best Auntie Ever” (and now “Favourite Great Aunty” too!). She comes from a big family of six siblings and treasures both her family life and the camaraderie of the clinic team, many of whom she’s known for decades. In fact, her journey in beauty started with Ruth, who taught her at college 38 years ago.

Having blended her post-pandemic career to include reception, hospitality, and beauty, Amanda is now enjoying this new chapter, where her wealth of experience supports both clients and the team.
